The first thing I would check would be to make sure the gate is operating. Next check and see if another transmitter (opener, clicker, remote) will activate the gate.
If the gate does not open using any other device (push button, wired keypad, internal operator control) the gate operator itself is broken and needs to be fixed.
If the gate opens off of another transmitter or wireless keypad than your transmitter's battery may be too weak to transmit properly, if it has switch settings inside they may have been moved check to see if they match the settings in the receiver, or your transmitter may have malfunctioned altogether and need to be replaced.
If another transmitter does not work but the gate operates off of another device check the receiver make sure it has proper power and see if it recognizes the transmitter either by clicking or by a programming light. If it clicks check the wiring between the transmitter and receiver. If it does not click you may have to replace the receiver.
Your manufacturer or installer may be able to help if you call and may have more specific information on their website.
