How do you replace heater fan switch on 1999 Taurus?

To replace the heater fan switch on a 1999 Ford Taurus, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the dashboard trim panel surrounding the heater control by unscrewing any visible screws and gently prying it off. Once exposed, disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the heater fan switch and unscrew it from the control panel.
