What is a natural insecticide for rose bushes?

Two full cloves of garlic boiled in one cup of water and left to cool. Mix in 1/4 teaspoon of mild dish soap and spray on roses. This will kill any insects (aphids and flies) on the roses and deter new ones. It will not harm the plant or your pets.
