Is the Bronnikov method fake

Yes, it is. It is even dangerous. It teaches some interesting things, but in a wrong way. I spend a lot of time and money on it. But I would not blame the teachers except Bronnikov and his son. The teachers themselves have no special abilities but hope to develop them while teaching. They do believe in the method, but have no skills taught in "the method". As a conclusion: Get another guru, or be your own one. :-p
