What is a penguins predator and its prey?

The main predators of the penguin are the fur seal, sea lion, leopard seal, shark and the orca. Predatory birds such as skuas and sea eagles are also a threat to penguins.

Penguin populations are also greatly reduced while breeding on land by ferrets, stoats, snakes and lizards. Even dogs, foxes and feral cats will prey on penguins while on land, as many species breed in temperate zones.
