Why do led lights blink when turned off?

LED lights may blink when turned off due to a phenomenon called "phantom voltage" or residual current. This occurs when small amounts of electricity still flow through the circuit, often from wiring that is picking up stray voltage or due to the presence of dimmer switches. Additionally, some LED bulbs are designed to be compatible with dimmers, which can cause them to flicker if the dimmer is not designed specifically for LEDs. As a result, this residual current can cause the LEDs to emit brief flashes of light even when switched off.
