Do cellular respiration needs sunlight

Yes they definitely do because through respiration they break down the food made by photosynthesis to obtain energy and energy is needed all the time. so respiration is carried out all the day and is not affected by the presence or absence of light although photosynthesis only occurs in the presence of light.
