How can you find out who your great grandparents are?

Ask your parents, older sibling, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Document their answers and begin to build a Family Tree. If living people you speak to cannot tell you who your great grandparents were, get as much information as you can and then begin checking other reference sources. These can include Voters Registration records, Census records, City Directories, Court and land records, and even old newspapers. Join a local genealogy club to meet people doing the same thing, but who have been at it longer and can offer guidance and advice.
