The best tool I've seen for that (IMHO) is a roller with a handle connected to a rotating cylinder with multiple layers of sticky pads on the surface. You roll it over clothes, and the lint sticks to the sticky pad. When it no longer works because it's full of lint, you peel off that layer and start using the next layer. They are sold in the laundry aisle of most supermarkets, but I once also saw it in the pet supplies aisle being sold as a tool for removing the loose hairs from your pet's coat.
