Does wicker storage keep water and dust out?

Wicker storage is a beautiful way to hide everyday items. You can find wicker storage in different types of colors, shapes and sizes. I do not recommend it for safe keeping of anything which might get wet. If the weave is tight enough it may keep dust off the things being stored. If the dust could damage anything, I would suggest another form of storage.
