Why did Andrea Lewis leave degrassi?

Andrea Lewis left "Degrassi: The Next Generation" after its sixth season to pursue other opportunities and expand her acting career. She felt it was time to move on from her role as Hazel Aden, allowing her to explore new projects in film and television. Additionally, she wanted to focus on her personal growth and creative endeavors outside of the series.
