Why does your heart rate speed up when you drink energy drinks?

I seem to have this, everyone else I know states that their heart rate increases rapidly but when I have them which is rare my heart beat hardly beats at all like almost nothing... this may be due to my heart condition but still it's quite odd, so I'd say yes for some people.
