Where in the Bible does it say when the soul enters the body?

The Bible is a letter from God and beneficial for our teaching and setting things straight according to 2 Timothy 3: 16,17.

Having that in mind, it is important to take in the accurate knowledge of what the Bible has to say about your question and to be no more influenced by religious belief that has nothing to do with what the Bible teaches. So let's get started.

According to the first Book of the Bible, Genesis 2: 7 where you can read the following. " And Jehovah God went on to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living soul or a living person. ( Notice that this does not say that man was given a soul but that he became a soul or a person ).

The Word "soul" comes from the Hebrew Word " ne'phesh " and Greek "psy.khe' " which literally means " a breathing creature ". In examining the way these terms are used in the Bible, it became evident that they basically refer to people, animals, or the life that a person or animal has. Read Genesis 1: 20; Numbers 31: 28; 1 Peter 3: 20.

When the term "soul" is used , it should be understood in line with its context. When referring to doing something with one's whole soul, it means to do it with one's whole being, wholeheartedly, or with one's life. Read Deuteronomy 6: 5; Matthew 22: 37.

We have certainly, already used the expression, " poor soul" in reference to someone that has been through some hardships. Or read there are 2'000 souls in this city, where we do understand that there are 2'000 people living in that city. Don't we?

So to answer your question of " Where in the Bible does it say when the soul enters the body?" Well! such belief are not Bible teaching but more of many religious beliefs that have been taught for generations up to this day.

The belief that the soul continues its existence after the dissolution of the body is a matter of philosophical or theological speculation rather than of simple faith, and is accordingly nowhere expressly taugh in Holy Scriptures.
