When your girlfriend says we need to talk doesn't she really mean she needs to talk?

as a female...this can mean she actually has something on her mind... or she is breaking up with you. when I say that however i really want to talk about something my BF is doing wrong and it really really bothering me

she must have been upset about something, it may probably have to do with you, it's a sentence used by females when they mean that they need to talk but she may even be too upset at the moment, maybe that's why she hasn't started talking to you, yet, but there's something in the background of her mind that she wants to solve with you
