The Kickapoo Lucky Eagle casino in Eagle Pass has been open for about 15 years, the Kickapoo are the only tribe in Texas that is authorized to operate a casino under the 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. They have had to battle the State constantly to stay open, they currently have a case before the Supreme Court that will ultimately decide their fate.
