What is the closest amtrak to Tallahassee?

Tallahassee used to have Amtrak service on the Sunset Limited. After Hurricane Katrina, Amtrak suspended service between New Orleans and Orlando. Even though the tracks have been repaired service has not been restored.

Currently, the closest Amtrak station is Jacksonville. From there you can take the Silver Star north to Savannah, Raleigh, Richmond and New York and south Orlando or Miami. You can also take the Silver Meteor north to Savannah, Charleston, Richmond and New York and south to Orlando, Tampa or Miami.
