Charles Darrow (born August 10, 1889 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; died August 29, 1967 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania) was a domestic heater salesman who, following the loss of his job in the 1929 Stock Market crash, invented and popularized the game of Monopoly.
