The problems of oral history are that inaccuracies can occur by the fact that the longer the oral history is in place, the more chances there are for honest errors in passing on the stories of events and information about earlier civilizations. Another problem exists in that it would be only natural for the oral history spokesman to have different versions of the same set of facts or circumstances. Even in written history this can occur.
In addition to the above, there is always the chance that stories are "on purpose" twisted to favor one point of view over another.
