What does it mean when oil reading on dipstick for a car is above and beyond the high level. Checking the oil and reading double the amount just about an inch pass the high marking.?

If the oil appears normal, right color and thickness, first guess is you took it somewhere for an oil change and for whatever reason the guy over filled it. If it is cloudy and looks like chocolate milk, that's a head gasket leak putting water into the crankcase. If it is thin, then gas is getting into the crankcase.
