The growing up process involves reactions to hormonal changes, social environment, and the natural application of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.

The teenage years are a critical point in the intersection of these influences. The brain is not fully developed, hormones are in flux, and social norms change drastically.

This is why teenagers tend to get the generalized stereotype of being "moody" or having too much "anxiety."

While everyone is different, this is something that everyone goes through.

Some teens handle it fairly well.

Some teens go down the wrong path and keep going.

Some teens go down the wrong path and then find their way back.

Some teens handle it well and then things change later.

No matter what all teens are people and deserve to be treated with understanding.

If they're not "great people" then don't complain about it, help them find their way.
