What is fellaheen?

Fellaheen is (1) a term used to describe farmer peasants in the Middle East (as opposed to Bedouin, who are herders and, thus, nomadic), (2) a concept originally conceptualized by philosopher Oswald Spengler, to describe people whose lives remain unchanged and unaffected by the grand movements of history, and/or (3) a musical group from New Jersey which plays a combination of rock, blues and jazz (www.fellaheen.com)
