Why are petrified trees found upside down in the geological column?

petrified trees are found upside down in the geological column becasue they are specail trees only found in indego austrail they grow in very shallow water just enough so that there limbs ar in the water THEY GROW UPSIDE DOWN BECAUSE THE STEM OF THE TREE IS BACKWARDS FROM THE ROOT SO THAT CAUSES THEM TO GROW UPSIDE DOWN
