How do you safely handle an unwell pony making sure that both animal and person are safe?

i would give the pony some calm and cool so he would not stress out. i would then call a vet and while the vet is on his way, try to diagnose the problem yourself and find the reason the horse is unwell. If the calm and cool takes a while to work, twitch the pony for a while. it would also depend on the unwell part. what do you mean by unwell? that would also have part to do with it. hope this helps
