What is Broken mouth in sheep?

It is when an old sheep has broken or missing teeth due to old age.

It usually affects adults 4 years or older, and can be caused by gingivitis or a loss in teeth. It is a cause of chronic wasting disease and prevention is through checking teeth regularly.
