What kind of degree do you have to have for nursing?

In the US, you can become a licensed practical or vocational nurse (LPN or LVN) via vocational school, and can become a registered nurse with an associates or bachelors degree. After that, you can further specialize with certification or with additonal studies for the masters, doctorate of nursing, or PhD.
