How do you clean a barbecue?

Before the BBQ gets cold brush any burnt food off the grid with a wire brush. When the coals are cool clear them out with a dust pan and brush.

Keep the BBQ covered up when it's not in use, rain water reacts with ash and forms an acid which corrodes the steel.

Every few months give it a blast with a hose to get all the ash and gunk out.
