What happend to the dead person if the two pans on the scales stayed in balance?

In ancient Egyptian belief, if the deceased's heart was lighter than the feather on the scales, they could move on to the afterlife. If the two pans stayed in balance, it meant the deceased had led a just life and could proceed to the afterlife. If the heart was heavier, it was devoured by the monster Ammit, resulting in eternal punishment.
