There is no difference between medical
negligence and negligence. Medical negligence is just the title of
a cause of action for a medical practitioner's negligent
performance of his duties Negligence is the generic name for a tort
where a person has a duty to another person, breaks that duty,
which is the cause in fact and proximate cause of damages. In
medical negligence cases, the doctor has the duty to act as a
reasonable doctor (or specialist, if necessary) would act.
