What the religious life is?

There are two main types of Religious orders. There are contmeplative Religious - who spend their time doing work and in prayer, and there are apostolic - where they are actively working within the community as well as spending time in prayer. They sometimes have jobs - they can be lawyers, nurses, teachers.
