Yes but gradually with persistance. Secretaries who handle paper, carpenters dealing with wood, brick layers (most common) lose ridges. Plus certain anti-cancer drugs. But having a job that causes this. Once accomplished. Must also be persistent to keep prints off. For temporary some use petroleum based matte clear coats on their palms. Let dry open hands.
