How fast can you go when passing a car going 45 in a 55 mile an hour zone?

The legal speed limit is 55, passing or not. If you go faster, you take the risk of getting a ticket.

Unless you are in a state which allows you you to exceed the speed limit while passing. Wyoming just passed this; not sure if any other states allow it.
