How does the camera turn an image the right way around?

Cameras use a system of lenses and mirrors to capture images. When light enters the camera through the lens, it is inverted due to the refraction of light rays. In DSLR cameras, a mirror reflects the inverted image up to the viewfinder, allowing the photographer to see it correctly. When the shutter is pressed, the mirror flips up, and the light hits the image sensor or film, capturing the image in its original orientation.
