What is a situation where you have given difficult or sensitive information to a service user?

In my previous role as a social worker, I had to inform a client that their application for housing assistance had been denied due to unmet eligibility criteria. I approached the conversation with empathy, carefully explaining the reasons for the decision while also providing options for appeal and additional resources. It was important to create a supportive environment, allowing the client to express their feelings and concerns. I ensured they understood the next steps and felt empowered to seek further assistance.
