What is the connection in the story little prince?

Plot is not too different from I Dream of Jeannie. Pilot is down on deserted area. discovers alien ( Prince) or Genie ( Jeannie) There is a good deal in common, but some differences, in Prince, the title character , if I am not mistaken dies at the end or goes back to planet B-6l2 ( may be derived from insect repellent). Jeannie, of course is Immortal. Oddly in the TV show while in her bottle ( where I assumed she slept) Jeannie"s Urn never did find its way into the wrong hands, like the KGB. I guess that would really embarrass the Pentagon. I heard the prop item sold recently for the staggering sum of $2500.
