Where and what is "hell" according to The Bible? The Bible defines hell as the place where the dead goes, which is the grave, the world of the dead.

The Hebrew she'ohl' and its Greek equivalent hai'des, refer, not to an individual burial place, but to the common grave of dead mankind.

The concept of going to the grave or "hell" is confirmed by God when Adam and Eve turned their back on His requirements.

Here is what He told Adam and Eve in Genesis 3: 19 "In the sweat of your forehead you will eat bread ( food ) until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return."

God's provision is in our resurrection whivh literally means " a standing up again" confirmed in John 5: 28,29 in these Words. "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice ( Jesus' voice ) and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgement". Which means that there are people who practice vile things, due to their lack of knowedge.

So to answer your question hell according to the Bible is the common grave for the dead, with the possibility to stand up again.

Genesis 2: 7 reads "And Jehovah God went on to form the man out of dust from the ground. So God is capable of taking the same dust that we have become and form us into what we were according to his memory.

By the way the root of the Word "human" is dust
