The song "Angel", which is often mistakenly called "In the Arms of an Angel" is sung by Sarah Machlan. The song first appeared on Sarah's 1997 album "Surfacing" and peaked at number four on the Billboard charts. The song is about the Smashing Pumpkins keyboard player, Jonathan Melvoin who overdosed on heroin and died in 1996.
