Do postal carriers need a certain education to deliver mail?

HS diploma or GED . Then there is a literacy exam , a sort of comprehension/recognotion exam for sorting , and of course for carriers ,a clean driver's license and criminal background check. Passing all the tests does not guarantee being a carrier . If you are hired, you must be willing to work in any position if you accept the job.As a Federal employee, you are subject to drug testing at any time.
