All females can have different length in heat cycles. Rule of thumb for breeding a female dog is the 10th 12th and 14th day. Make sure you will be home to help birth puppies. They are alot of work, they must be kept warm and dry and socialized. no one wants dogs left at shelter because some one decided they were a breeder. Then didn't do the work and took the lazy way out and the cheapest route. The puppies pay dearly if they don't fit in to their homes due to being housed away from people.
