What was the purpose of the National senior certificate?

The National Senior Certificate (NSC) serves as a certification for South African learners who have completed their secondary education, typically at the end of Grade 12. Its primary purpose is to assess students' knowledge and skills across various subjects, enabling them to qualify for further education or enter the workforce. Additionally, the NSC aims to ensure that learners meet national education standards and are prepared for the challenges of higher education and employment.
