What is a bees life span?

A queen bee can live for three to five years.

A drone (male) can live for up to four months, but if it mates with a queen it will die after mating, whatever its age. Also, as winter approaches, all drones will be thrown out of the hive by the workers, fall to the ground and die. New drones will be bred in the spring.

Worker bees (all female) live for up to six to seven weeks in the summer, and can live for up to four months in the winter.
