Perfect flowers, which contain both male (stamens) and female (pistils) reproductive structures, reproduce primarily through a process called pollination. Pollination occurs when pollen from the anthers of the stamens is transferred to the stigma of the pistil, often facilitated by wind, insects, or other animals. Once pollen reaches the stigma, it germinates, allowing a pollen tube to grow down to the ovary, where fertilization takes place, leading to the formation of seeds.
