How do you set up a game of solitaire?

To set up a game of solitaire, shuffle a standard deck of 52 playing cards and deal out seven columns of cards, with the first column having one card, the second column having two cards, and so on, up to seven cards in the last column. Turn the top card of each column face up. The remaining cards form the draw pile. The goal is to build four foundation piles in ascending order from Ace to King, using the cards from the columns and draw pile.
