I think that it is fine. Most psychologists will tell you it is okay at any age, and they are actually supposed to be good to help you work out your problems, but psychologists will also tell you it is unhealthy if you find the imaginary friend is convincing you to break the law and commit acts of violence or steal etc, but having one is fine 'as long as you understand that it is not a corpreal being'. Which basically means if you know it's not real, which is a bit harsh because then you might end up feeling like a Billy-No-Mates. If you have a Wikianswers account, feel free to message me and tell me how your imaginary mate is getting on. Mine has recently had a temper tantrum and is not talking to me. I'm fourteen.
