Why are babies naked when they're born?

Oh, dude, babies are born naked because they haven't had time to go shopping for baby clothes yet. Like, they're fresh out of the womb, still covered in goo, and the last thing on their mind is picking out a cute onesie. Plus, it's not like they have pockets for their credit cards anyway.
