Now, cotton candy is made at fairs all over the world.

The original cotton candy was called FAIRY FLOSS and was introduced in 1904 at the St. Louis worlds fair. John Wharton and William Morrison first invented and patented a machine that used centrifugal force to spin and melt sugar, extruding it through a small hole creating the stings of confection.
