Do any animals have a preference for spicy food?

While most animals do not have a preference for spicy food, some animals like birds and certain mammals, such as tree shrews, have been observed to consume spicy foods like chili peppers. This preference is believed to be due to the fact that these animals do not have the same taste receptors for capsaicin, the compound that makes spicy foods hot, as humans do.
