How do you shorten a movie so it will fit on a DVD?

You usually can't unless you delete scenes or shrink the file. Shrinking the file makes the movie look pretty crappy on larger TV's, most movies are copied on Duel Layered discs which are usually 8GB and will fit most full-lengthed movies, you can buy them on Amazon.com for about $10.

If you use the program DVD shrink you can easily shorten any movie to fit on a DVD disk. The movie will be complete with no deleted scenes but there will be some loss of quality. You will only notice the quality loss on a big screen TV. Do an internet search for DVD shrink.
