Africa is a large continent, which spans several varied geological and climatic regions; this provides it with a number of raw resources which can be exported or processed first and then exported.
The list includes, but is not limited to:
Minerals:
Gold, Iron ore, Bauxite, Copper, Diamonds, Phosphates, tin, Uranium, Platinum and Oil
Agricultural products:
Beef, chicken, seafood (various), tobacco, nuts (various), plant oils, sugar, coffee, cotton, tea, fresh vegetables and fruit
Manufactured products:
In this area Africa (in general) lags behind the rest of the world, lack of skills, capital and government incentives results in a very low "manufactured goods" portfolio. Please note that this is a general observation, and is not true of all sectors, industries or countries within Africa.
