What is more dangerous alcohol or drugs?

Many drugs are dangerous in combination with alcohol, because they can have unexpected interactions.

But some of the most dangerous drugs are barbiturates and other depressants. Because alcohol is also classified as a depressant (in terms of what it does to the body) combining it with other depressants can lead to a dangerous condition known as potentiation: the combined effect of the two chemicals is far greater than either one would be individually. In extreme cases, this can even cause the heart to slow to the point of stopping, leading to death.
