What are the various states of oxygen and how do they differ from each other?

Oxygen exists in three main states: gas, liquid, and solid. In its gaseous state, oxygen is the most common form we encounter in the air we breathe. When cooled to very low temperatures, oxygen can become a liquid, which is used in various industrial processes. At extremely low temperatures, oxygen can solidify into a crystalline form.
